Tech & Robotics

– Digital and Technology Skills

All you makers, future engineers and hackers, this is for you!

Do you want to learn more about technology and be able to turn your own designs into reality?

Tech & Robotics, one year studies are all about understanding technologies like: coding, modeling, digital fabrication, electronics, robotics and general technology reading skills. During studies we also learn about IT/technology university studies and career opportunities in Finland (and abroad).

The studies take place mainly at VNF Makerspace (Karjaa) and partly at Teijo Makerspace (Salo).

Teaching language

The studies are mainly practical. Both Swedish and Finnish are used in the studies, but the working language is mostly English, just like in the industry. The school’s main language is Swedish and joint lectures for all the school’s students are mainly in Swedish. In school, in addition to Swedish, you hear both Finnish and English on a daily basis. In practice, we study in a multilingual environment!

Join us to learn new skills and get inspired in good like-minded company!

Studierna passar även för läropliktiga. / Opinnot sopivat myös oppivelvollisille.

Heikki Pullo

head teacher for Tech & Robotics

”I’m constantly looking for opportunities where technology, creative ideas and people can be brought together.”

Heikki Pullo – technology-educator and a maker.

Heikki did master of technology education-studies at Turku University and got really excited about Maker culture. His thesis in 2015 was the first study ever on a Finnish Maker Culture.

Ever since Heikki has been interested in the mixing of Finnish technology education and international maker education.

He started working as a technology & craft teacher in primary school and now he also runs Makerspaceman Ltd, a company that provides teacher education, makerspace-planning and product development for technology education.

Today Heikki is working from Teijo makerspace – co-workshop & education center in the countryside. He is constantly looking for possibilities where he can bring technology and creative ideas/people together.
